Harrison House Diner: A Mullica Hill Tradition for Generations
For over 38 years, Harrison House Diner has been a beloved part of Mullica Hill’s rich history, a vibrant destination where delicious food meets deep community ties. Established in 1986 by George and Constantinos Benas, the diner has since become more than just a place to enjoy a meal—it’s a cornerstone of Main Street life, embodying the warmth and connection that makes Mullica Hill feel like home.
Now run by the third generation of the Benas family, Constantine and Michael Benas, Harrison House continues to serve up family traditions, heartwarming meals, and an unwavering commitment to the community. Raised in Mullica Hill themselves, Constantine and Michael have grown up with the diner as a central part of their lives. Together with their sister Alexandra, who runs The Cake Boutique, they are proud to continue the family legacy of giving back to the town they love.
Historic Roots, Modern Heart
Harrison House Diner has been woven into the fabric of Mullica Hill’s culture for nearly four decades. What makes the diner stand out is not just its tasty, classic diner fare, but the Benas family’s ongoing dedication to the community. The diner has long been a gathering place for locals and visitors alike—whether stopping by after a day of antique shopping or enjoying a hearty breakfast before exploring Main Street’s vibrant shops.
While keeping the spirit of a classic diner alive, Constantine and Michael have kept the Harrison House experience fresh and exciting. In 2016, they expanded their reach by opening Point 40 Diner, another community-centric eatery, bringing the same passion for great food and service to a new generation of patrons.
Giving Back—A Family Tradition
From day one, the Benas family has taken pride in giving back to Mullica Hill. Every Thanksgiving, Harrison House partners with the local police department to deliver over 150 free meals to seniors, and they partner with Cake Boutique to bake more than 100 holiday pies to distribute to local families in need through Your Place at the Table (YPATT). The diner also supports township senior programs by offering monthly meals to brighten their day and show appreciation for those who call Mullica Hill home.
Constantine and Michael are proud to carry on these traditions, believing that giving back is not only their responsibility as business owners but also their way of keeping Mullica Hill’s close-knit community thriving.
